A brewery that has unexpectedly filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection claims it is not experiencing financial difficulties.
On July 26, the well-known artisanal brewery Griffin Claw Brewing Co. sought shelter under Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
Griffin Claw Brewing assured that it is not experiencing any financial difficulties and has no plans to liquidate or restructure its financial status.
According to the Detroit News, a restructuring may be on the horizon for the Michigan company, as the owners of Griffin Claw Brewing have submitted a request to prevent legal disputes among the partners.
“Scott LePage, co-owner of Griffin Claw, declared that our company is generating profits.”
Our company has consistently generated profits, but due to our current situation, the owners cannot reach an agreement.

Established in 2011, Griffin Claw Brewing Company was created by Norman LePage, father of Scott LePage, along with Ray Nicholson, his business associate.
After Nicholson died in 2019, a disagreement emerged between the LePage family and Nicholson’s descendants.
The core of the problem appears to lie in an irreconcilable dispute regarding how the profits from the sale of Clubhouse BFD in Rochester Hills to Griffin Claw Brewing should be divided.
The business in Rochester has now transformed into Griffin Claw Brewing through a process of rebranding.
At this moment, Griffin Claw Brewing Company presents a selection of 18 diverse types of beer, among them one of their original acclaimed creations, Norm’s Raggedy IPA.
Apart from offering a variety of beers, the company crafts its range of hard cider and distilled beverages, including vodka, bourbon, whiskey, gin, and rum.
It is important to mention that the LePage family is also the proud owners of Lumen Detroit restaurant located in Beacon Park, a business that is separate from the bankruptcy proceedings involving Griffin Claw Brewing.
