Florida City Crime Update Homeless Man Held for Armed Carjacking

In Florida City – A man was carjacked at knifepoint in South Florida, and the man is now facing many felony counts.

It occurred outside the Home Depot at 33001 South Dixie Highway, Florida City, at around 6:14 p.m. on Friday.

Leandre Snow, 26, allegedly approached the victim while he was driving his grey Honda CRV with a knife in his hand. Snow then climbed into the passenger side and demanded that the victim take him south on US-1 and Cardsound Road.

The victim was allegedly forced to pull over by Snow, who then proceeded to beat him unconscious before driving off in his vehicle, according to the police.

According to the police, the suspect was taken to a nearby gas station by a kind stranger who helped him restore consciousness and then called for help.

According to the authorities, Snow fled the scene of the accident after officers tried to pull him over in the victim’s Honda CRV. The vehicle was still running when it crashed into a parked car on the 700 block of West Palm Drive in Homestead.

According to the police, a silver knife was found in Snow’s pocket after he was taken into prison.

He was sent to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center after informing authorities that he was impaired by drugs.
