BURBANK — Downtown Burbank is gearing up for one of its busiest days of the year as the Winter Wine Walk and Street Fair returns on Nov. 22, transforming San Fernando Boulevard into a lively hub of vendors, music and festive holiday activities. Organizers say the event will blend family-friendly entertainment with an evening of wine tasting, drawing thousands of visitors to the downtown core.
The celebration begins with a free street fair from noon to 8 p.m., featuring hundreds of artists, crafters, nonprofits and food vendors. Families can browse vendor booths, enjoy live entertainment and explore the more than 600 nearby shops and restaurants that define Downtown Burbank’s commercial district.
Evening Wine Tasting Experience
As the afternoon transitions into evening, the event’s signature wine-tasting segment begins at 4 p.m. Organizers say tasting stations will be placed at four pop-up locations as well as inside 17 participating downtown businesses.
Only guests 21 and older with valid ID may join the tasting experience, and tickets will be sold at the door while supplies last. VIP admission offers enhanced perks, including access to a private lounge with “secret pours” and catered small plates.
“Downtown Burbank truly comes alive during the Winter Wine Walk,” Mayor Nikki Perez said, calling the celebration a highlight of the city’s holiday season and a showcase of community spirit.
Staged Snowfall and Holiday Ambience
One of the most anticipated attractions is the annual staged snowfall near the Main Stage at San Fernando Boulevard and Olive Avenue. Organizers say the snowfall is scheduled between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., aligning with the end of the wine-tasting session to create a festive winter atmosphere under Southern California skies.
Street Closures and Transit Options
To accommodate the festival, several streets will be temporarily closed. San Fernando Boulevard will be shut down from Magnolia Boulevard to Angeleno Avenue between 6 a.m. and 11 p.m. Limited access will also affect Palm Avenue, Orange Grove Avenue and Olive Avenue.
City officials are advising drivers to avoid unnecessary travel in the area bordered by 3rd Street, 1st Street, Magnolia and Olive, noting heavy foot traffic is expected throughout the day.

Event organizers are also encouraging visitors to use public transit. According to the event website, Metrolink riders on the Antelope Valley or Ventura County lines can exit at Burbank-Downtown Station and walk about 13 minutes to San Fernando Boulevard, or they may book a Metro Micro shuttle using a TAP card.
Free and Open to the Public
While wine tasting requires paid admission, both the Street Fair and the Main Stage entertainment area remain free and open to all attendees. For families, shoppers, wine lovers and holiday enthusiasts, the Winter Wine Walk continues to stand out as one of Burbank’s most cherished seasonal celebrations.
