SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, CA — Two men were taken into custody after leading deputies on a dangerous high-speed chase through Bloomington late Monday night, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies Spot Stolen Truck Before Midnight
The incident began on Nov. 11, just before 11:30 p.m., when deputies on routine patrol noticed a stolen gray Ford F-350 traveling southbound near Cedar Avenue and Seventh Street. The truck’s occupants were later identified as 35-year-old Jorge Luis Roman of Bloomington and 38-year-old Gabriel Juan Corona of Pico Rivera.
When deputies attempted a traffic stop, the pair refused to pull over, initiating a high-speed pursuit through residential areas.
Chase Speeds Exceeded 70 MPH
Authorities said the suspects accelerated sharply, reaching more than 70 mph while weaving through neighborhood streets. The truck reportedly ran multiple stop signs and made several reckless maneuvers, putting residents and deputies at serious risk.
During a high-speed turn, the driver lost control of the truck, causing it to crash. The chase ended moments later.
