This Texas City Offers the Lowest Gas Prices in the State

We are aware that gas costs have skyrocketed everywhere, but not in one Texas city. Gas prices have hardly altered despite the hurricane and the historic holiday travel.

From last week, the national average price per gallon of gas increased by three cents to $3.54. The record number of drivers traveling by automobile on July 4th, Hurricane Beryl striking the Texas coast, and oil prices consistently above $80 per barrel all contributed to the small increase in prices.

The national average as of July 11, 2024, is $3.54, which is the same as one year ago and 10 cents higher than one month ago.

Mississippi ($3.09), Arkansas ($3.07), Louisiana ($3.11), Tennessee ($3.13), Oklahoma ($3.15), Kansas ($3.16), Texas ($3.17), Missouri ($3.17), Alabama ($3.20), and Nebraska ($3.26) are the top ten least costly markets in the US.

Lubbock had the lowest gas prices in Texas on Friday, according to AAA gas prices.

Texas had an average regular gas price of $3.17, whilst Lubbock had an average regular gas price of $2.95.
