Independence Blue Cross Employees Collect Over 2,000 Pounds of Food for Local Food Pantries!

Independence Blue Cross (IBX) associates stepped up to make a big difference, collecting over 2,000 pounds of food for five local pantries across southeastern Pennsylvania.

This incredible effort was part of IBX’s “Feed the Need” food drive, designed to address food insecurity in the region.

Donations included high-demand items like peanut butter, canned soup, coffee, pasta, and granola bars. The food was distributed to one pantry in each county, ensuring widespread support:

  • Emergency Relief in Bucks County
  • Phoenixville Area Community Services in Chester County
  • Media Food Bank in Delaware County
  • Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard in Montgomery County
  • Lutheran Settlement House in Philadelphia

This initiative is part of IBX’s broader commitment to helping communities thrive by addressing housing and food insecurity.

The organization regularly partners with nonprofits to bring essential resources to those in need.

IBX remains dedicated to supporting health and wellness for its members and the communities it serves.

By giving back through projects like “Feed the Need,” IBX is helping people live healthier, better lives every day.
