70-Year-Old from Mississippi Faces Cocaine Trafficking Charges in Florida

In Florida, authorities detained a 70-year-old man from Mississippi for his involvement in trafficking cocaine and having drug paraphernalia.

The apprehension took place when a deputy from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office (SRCSO) conducted a traffic stop on July 10.

Johnson was behind the wheel of a sleek 2021 Chevy Malibu with Mississippi plates when he got stopped by the police for a traffic infraction.

Deputies stated that Johnson had journeyed from Mississippi to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and was returning on his way back when the stop took place.

While stopping the traffic, deputies gathered a suspicion that Johnson might be engaged in unlawful actions.

After agreeing to a vehicle search, deputies stumbled upon a vacuum-sealed parcel holding slightly less than half a pound of cocaine.

Johnson was later taken into custody and accused of engaging in the illegal trade of cocaine and having drug paraphernalia in his possession.
